One of the great bands that brought rock en español to the masses in the late '80s and early '90s, Caifanes comes to Paramount Theatre Seattle on Wednesday 6th November 2019! The group, whose reunion in 2010 delighted fans worldwide, will be performing their first new material in 25 years, giving followers a taste of the exciting things to come from this legendary Mexican band!
Beginning their career in 1985, Caifanes are a rock en español band from Mexico City who found global notoriety throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s with their distinctive blend of influences, encompassing British new wave, progressive rock, Latin percussion and King Crimson-style vocals. The group's 1992 album, El Silencio, is considered by many to be one of the Rock En Español genre's most influential records, and the group's career peaked in 1994 when they were invited to open for the Rolling Stones in Mexico City and perform at Peter Gabriel's WOMAD festival. After disbanding in 1995, the group reunited in 2010, and 2019 marks the release of their first new material in 25 years.
