Known as one of the most popular children's entertainers, Raffi Cavoukian is an award-winning Canadian singer-lyricist famous during the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s. Raffi was born in Egypt and immigrated to Canada, eventually settling in Toronto, Ontario. During the 1970s, Raffi started refining his skills and knowledge in guitar playing and met a few developing Canadian musicians along the way. Afterward was invited to sing for a Toronto public school, and despite his doubt, he immediately became a success in the children's entertainment industry. He gained popularity as he released his debut album, "Good Luck Boy," in 1975 for the iconic smooth vocals and guitar playing.
He popularized songs used for how many generations of children, like the "Bananaphone," "Rise and Shine," and "Wheels on the Bus." Raffi is also the founder of the Raffi Foundation for Child Honouring and a member of the Canadian Charity Artists Against Racism. In 2007, Raffi wrote and produced the single "Cool It," which became the theme song in promoting action on climate change.
