Tyler Childers at Paramount Theatre Seattle

Named by Rolling Stone as “the 21st Century Voice of Appalachia”, Tyler Childers is an American country, bluegrass and folk singer and songwriter. Childers released his debut EP, Bottles and Bibles, in 2011, aged 19, but it was his debut studio album, Purgatory (2017), that served as his breakthrough. The album was produced by fellow country artist Sturgill Simpson, and country music producer David Ferguson (noted for working with country legend Johnny Cash), and debuted at number one on Billboard's Heatseekers Albums chart, number 17 on the Country albums chart and number four on the Americana/Folk albums chart. It also won him the title of Emerging Artist of the Year at the 2018 Americana Music Honors & Awards, and paved the way for a re-release of Childers' two Red Barn Radio EPs, which had originally been released in 2013 and 2014, respectively. His most recent release is Country Squire, which was released in 2019 and debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums and American/Folk Albums charts.
