STG Presents & Grand Kyiv Ballet welcomes the Grand Kyiv Ballet: Snow White at the Paramount Theatre on Saturday, December 23rd! Presented by Artistic Space Productions, this four-day ballet adaptation of the well-known tale will feature the principal dancers from the National Opera and Ballet of Ukraine in a two-hour performance that will grant the holiday spirit upon everyone in the crowd! Drawing inspiration from The Brothers Grimm's classic tale 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,' this dance specatacle brings to life the traditional charm of the Disney animated adaptation film accompanied by a classic score composed by the talented Bogdan Pavlovsky. The venue's interior and overall stage design is truly impressive as it creates an aura similar to the setting of an enchanted forest! The Grand Kyiv Ballet, a world-class Ukrainian ballet troupe, is on its way to Seattle on December 23rd as part of a four-day showing of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarves”!
For viewers of all ages, this production of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs'' guarantees to be a one-of-a-kind event. Those who haven’t seen the ballet company will be able to finally watch the prime dancers from the prestigious National Opera and Ballet of Ukraine perform the graceful ballet inspired by The Brothers Grimm’s classic fairytale. In addition, the show will be set to musical themes by Polish composer Bogdan Pavlovsky at the same time adopting the cartoonish atmosphere of the well-known Disney animated film.
“Unsurprisingly, these dancers are excellent. That alone would be reason enough to draw audiences, but if we needed anything more, it is our empathy for their plight, the human instinct to help others and feel their distress,” the Guardian shares about one of the ballet company’s previous performances.
When asked about the repercussions of the on-going war on their dancers, the ballet company promised to use their artistic talent as a “weapon”, in response to the tragedy plaguing the country’s artistic scene. “Grand Kyiv Ballet’s weapon is dance, which helps show not only the high art of the country, but the brutal war in Ukraine,” artistic director Oleksandr Stoianov mentions. “Everyone does their best to help the Motherland being on their own frontline.”
