Seattle, if you’ve been craving a decent prog metal fix, it’s time to get keen, get ready for the pit, and put these guys on rotation on your playlist if they’re not already there.
It’s all the metal, mayhem, and madness of prog metal taken to an entire new level; it’s all the boundary-bashing, fire, and euphoric ecstacy of an absolutely thrashing metal concert; it’s a superpower in metal on fire, and dead set on burning the stage and the raging crowd in front of it to the ground.
It’s Swedish prog metal juggernauts Opeth, and they are coming to the Paramount Theatre Seattle with their ‘The Last Will and Testament’ North American Tour Part 2 on 24 February 2026 alongside special guest Katatonia!
Tickets are priced from as low as $87 a pop and are moving faster than fingers over a fretboard, so hit that ‘Get Tickets’ button now to secure your spot in the maelstrom of metal!
When Mikael Åkerfeldt and his henchmen are slated to hit the stage and planning on raining the hellfire of unparalleled, unique, and innovative metal onto their rabid crowd, you go. You do what you must to get your hands on some tickets, and you go. No ifs, no buts - just pure keenness to burn in the all-consuming fire and power of the guys who hold the heart at the core of metal in their hands.
Swedish progressive metal force Opeth released their 14th studio album The Last Will and Testament at the end of 2024, and is set to roll onto the shores of North America for the second time in support of the critically acclaimed album. The tour, featuring special guest Katatonia, is slated to kick off in early February 2026 in Montclair, New Jersey, visiting some major venues for 13 more shows before wrapping up towards the end of February 2026 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Opeth has been on a path to take their sound and songwriting to a new level for a long time - and even though roots are not something they’re attached to, they still manage to sound like the same band the metalheads out there have been foaming at the mouth for since they dropped their debut album Orchid in 1995. They are a superpower when it comes to innovation, growth, reimagining, and evolving. Opeth transcends all of metal’s barriers and divisions, bringing textures, light and dark, distinct musical passages, and fire to each and every track, shaping it into its own metal ecosystem. They are the Schrödinger’s cat of progressive metal - they exist both within metal, and outside of it.
Joining Opeth on their second The Last Will and Testament North American Tour, are Swedish heavy metal icons Katatonia, best known for face-melters such as The Longest Year, Chrome, and Departer.
The landmark Paramount Theatre, located in the downtown core of Seattle, is the perfect canvas for Opeth to unfurl their artistry. Featuring state-of-the-art sound and lighting, ample parking, fantastic amenities, superb acoustics, great sight-lines, and room for up to 3,000 metalheads, the Paramount Theatre is geared up and ready for the metal concert of the year!
So do what you must - get your hands on those tickets now!
