Acid Bath will be returning to the stage for a one off performance at Seattle's Paramount theater on Saturday August 8th, 2026. The historic performance will celebrate the 32nd anniversary of release of their debut album 'When the Kite String Pops'. Showtime is 7:00 PM with a 6:00 PM door time. A ton of hype has been building around this much awaited return of one of Death Metal's most iconic bands. Also performing will be Russian Circles, Twin Tribes and DEVORA.
Be prepared for an emotionally charged performance by one of the worlds most influential sludge metal bands. All of Acid Baths most requested songs will be played, including the Sludge Metal anthem “Scream of the Butterfly”, their first major hit “Tranquilized”, “Jezebel”, and the rarely performed “The Bones of Baby Dolls”. With a career spanning 6 incredible years (1991-1997), this Houma, Louisiana band created a unique blend of Sludge Metal, Doom, Black, and Psychedelic styles. Acid Bath’s second release Paegan Terrorism Tactics (1996) is widely regarded as one of the first true sludge metal albums. Their cult following endures even though the band broke up in the wake of the tragic death of their bassist Audie Pitre.
The ambient riffs of Russian Circles (an instrumental post-metal trio based in Chicago). The three members of the band all went to high school together, and there is something powerful (and intense) about their music even though they are just playing without singing. “Harper Lewis,” “Death Rides a Horse,” “Geneva,” and more from their latest 2022 album “Gnosis.” Critically acclaimed for their dense sonic explorations, the band have sold out shows at festivals around the world.
There may be new bands emerging in the post-punk scene but it is rare to find a duo who can capture the moody wave sounds of the 80’s better than this border town duo. Formed in 2017 by Luis Navarro and Joel Niño Jr., Twin Tribes have spent years honing their sound and crafting excellent tracks like “Shadows”, “Heart & Feather”, “Fantasmas”, and their latest release “Monolith” off of their upcoming 2024 album “Pendulum”. Collectively the two have gained over thirty million streams on Spotify and have sold out shows across the country.
DEVORA calls herself “Goth Dolly Parton” and we are here for it. This desert born and raised musician is pushing boundaries by fusing alt-pop with a western twist and a healthy dose of grunge. It’s outlaw-pop at its finest and we’re obsessed. Check out “Deputy,” “Not Dead Yet,” “Drugstore Cowboy” and her haunting take on “Hurt.” DEVORA’s latest full-length American Dream Dropout came out in 2025. Vogue, WONDERLAND and Ladygunn have given her props.
