A night destined to be filled with flailing love and tons of help button questions - do you have a couple moments to help the passenger next to you?! If not - don’t fret and keep calm! Help is coming to the rescue! We’re bringing the Airplane! crew to a theatre near you!
Prepare for take-off! Because this season on Friday October 3rd, Airplane! - the cult classic 80s film that’s all about hilarious situations on a plane - is coming to Paramount Theatre Seattle for a special director’s cut viewing! And we’re all invited to the show! Right here on Friday October 3rd!

Paramount Theatre Seattle is at the top when it comes to vibes and good times right here in the heart of the city. Located right in the downtown metro and just sideline of the bay coast, Paramount is a staple of the Seattle skyline and all things bay area music scene. And if it’s your first time here - congratulations! You get the honor of having your first show in our Paramount palace as an eclectic film experience hosted by the directors of the 1980s movie Airplane! David Zucker and Robert Hays will be in the house on the night of to talk about the film and the 2025 Unreleased Directors Cut Tour, screen some unreleased director’s cut scenes, funny moments from shooting, and loads galore of unscripted one-offs that will for sure rock our noggins for months after the special screening. So if you’re a fan of the movie or always been curious - this is like, a can’t miss event! And with two back to back shows scheduled for the Paramount Theatre Seattle and Paramount Theatre Denver - we’re all in for the plane ride of a lifetime!
Airplane! is the unexpected cult classic that shook the indie movie industry to its knees when it released on June 27th 1980. Made on a micro film budget of three and a half million, the film grossed $171 million around the world in that first year, and went on to win warriors academy awards across the world. Hailed for its comedy and juvenile whit, critics have said "Though unabashedly juvenile and silly, Airplane! is nevertheless an uproarious spoof comedy full of quotable lines and slapstick gags that endure to this day”. And - with a director’s only special edition on the way - we just know it’s gonna be one of those once in a lifetime, you had to be there moments here at Paramount! And we need you right here with us in the front row when they take the stage!
