Paramount Theatre
Lorna Shore is bringing some true heavy metal to the Paramount Theatre in Seattle on Friday, October 17th. This theater sees all kinds of performances year round, but we rarely get a chance to catch true heavy metal bands ripping it up on stage. Lorna Shore's concert hopes to be the exception!
The band is also not coming to the Pacific Northwest alone. In fact, this performance is basically a full day of heavy metal worthy of a rock festival. We've got The Black Dahlia Murder hitting the stage alongside Lorna Shore. These guys bring an interesting vibe, you'd never think a metal band would do, an endless loop of funny reels to promote their latest album. That's exactly what they did for SERVITUDE.
Shadow of Intent is also part of the lineup. They offer the more traditional metal experience that purists of the genre are going to take a liking to. If you're one of those people who feel that they don't metal like they used to Shadow Of Intent might just change your mind.
PeelingFlesh might be the first band to hit the stage and that would be a perfect way to kick things off. They're one of those bands that has really cut their teeth in the live shows. That means they're masters at playing the crowd, and can ironically lighten the mood while playing some seriously heavy metal beats. It's a great combination that can put you in the right groove.

This stop at the Paramount Theatre is an interesting one, particularly when you look at some of the other venues on the list. Here in Seattle, it's actually a great idea to be indoors in mid-October. The cold rain or maybe even sleet and snow wouldn't mix too well with the heavy metal ... or would they? In any case, you get a chance to hear the loud guitar sounds banging off the walls of the Paramount Theatre in a manner that may almost make your ears bleed. That's what heavy metal's all about.
Lorna Shore is probably going to feature some of their hits, like "To the Hell Fire" and the different versions of "Pain Remains" on the setlist for this night. They're also going to be singing plenty of songs from their latest album, "I Feel The Everblack Festering Within Me." You'd better catch up on these before October 17th rolls around if you want to make sure you can sing or even just weave along to all of the tracks that will be coming from the stage.
One of the things that you're going to want to keep in mind as you move to purchase your tickets is that there will be no front row seats available at the Paramount Theatre for this event. Instead, the entire first floor is going to be converted into a general admission standing room area. If you want to have a spot near the stage, you need to arrive at the venue early and claim it. On the other hand, those who'll want to spend some time sitting down at this concert can find the regular seated options on the upper levels.
