2023 turned into and absolutely incredible year for Nothing But Thieves, the bands fourth album, Dead Club City, charted at number 1 across 14 countries, BBC Radio 1 named their first single "Welcome to the DCC" their Hottest Record of the Year, and Radio X awarded them the Best Record of the Year for their second single "Overcome".

This year the band are not resting, instead they launched a brand-new single, "Oh No :: He Said What?" in January with a Hottest Record in the World on BBC Radio 1. The new track continues the disconcerted atmosphere of the album, Dead Club City, featuring more 80s-inspired synths and rock guitars.

In a statement about the new track, the band said, “Like ‘Welcome To The DCC’, the song is mostly from the point of view of those running ‘Dead Club City’ – except now, they’re panicked by the monster they’ve helped to create. The grifters have moved in. A utopia that was meant to be beyond borders or traditional government control has been dragged back down by the human condition, maybe it was inevitable.” They continued, saying that, "the song was the very last thing we finished off in the studio and at one point wasn’t really part of the concept. The story was meant to end with ‘Pop The Balloon’ but these extra songs leave the door open a bit. We like that. Maybe we’ll want to check in on ‘Dead Club City’ in a decade’s time and see how it’s doing?"

This March the band releases, Dead Club City Deluxe, featuring three new songs, including the new single "Oh No :: He Said What?", "Time :: Fate :: Karma :: God" and "Pure You" plus, stripped down versions of two of the original album’s singles, "Overcome" and "Tomorrow Is Closed".

So, now it's time for you to skip this 'Dead Club City' and dive right into buying some tickets for Nothing But Thieves, Welcome To The DCC North America Tour, part 2 with Sports Team at Paramount Theatre, in Seattle, WA, on Saturday, October 26th 2024, these will sell out superfast so get yours now!!!
