This 2026 experience The Midnight's most extensive North American run to date, hitting major cities from Miami Beach, Florida, in April and running all the way back to their hometown of Los Angeles, California, in May. The tour will celebrate the band's sixth studio album, Syndicate, which dropped on October 3, 2025, and explores some new, heavier rock influences blended with their classic, retro synth sound.
Sandwiched between Vancouver and Portland dates is this epic Seattle show on May 9, 2026, a definite West Coast highlight, but don't sleep on it, The Midnight shows tend to sell out fast.
A super smooth synthwave duo formed in Los Angeles in 2012 by singer-songwriter Tyler Lyle and producer Tim McEwan. They debuted with the EP, Days of Thunder, in 2014 but earned their breakthrough with the 2016 album, Endless Summer, and the synthwave staple and fan sing-along favorite, "Vampires," and their first track to hit the charts, "Sunset."
They followed Endless Summer a year later with Nocturnal, reaching No. 17 on Billboard's Dance/Electronic Albums and the track "Ocean Drive," which is still their most streamed song on Spotify, with over 100 million plays. In 2018 they shifted their sound toward rock-infused synthwave with Kids and "Runaways (feat. Bonnie McKee)." The trilogy of albums, Kids, Monsters, and Heroes, ended in 2022 with the massive "Change Your Heart or Die," earning them considerable recognition for their genre blending of rock and synth.
In 2024, with a new signing to Ultra Records, they took the genre even further and heavier with the single "Chariot," and followed it with "Love is an Ocean," in February 2025, signaling that the album, Syndicate, should turn out to be a massive success.
One of the last grand film palaces built before the Great Depression, at a cost of a staggering nearly $3 million to construct, or about $50 million today, and paid for by Paramount Pictures. It was also the very first venue with a convertible floor system in the U.S., allowing it to switch from theater productions into a ballroom.
In the 60s it hosted the early rock concerts with The Grateful Dead and was one of the first venues to see Nirvana in 1991, capturing Seattle's grunge explosion in a historic set. It has also seen other great icons perform on its stage, like Pink Floyd, Madonna, David Bowie, and the Marx Brothers.
Located at 911 Pine Street, its tower now houses STG's archive library, open for public tours exploring 100+ years of Seattle entertainment. While originally designed to seat 3,000, after renovations this has been reduced to a more comfortable 2,807 guests.
