Beauty and The Beast is a story that can be challenging to showcase on stage, primarily because the of the fact that everyone in attendance tends to know the whole plot well. People already know what's going to happen and yet on every performance these performers have eyes fixed on them throughout the entire show. How can they do it? Well, we can't disclose all of secrets here, but there are certain elements that are essential to the success of this performance. The first one centers on the costumes and the set design. In every stage show, these components need to be able to bring the audience into the world of the play. This is something that is done beautifully for Disney's Beauty and the Beast, especially in this stunning 30th Anniversary Production North American Tour.
The next element that makes this a well known show are the songs. Again, these might be songs that you've listened to on numerous occasions. "Tale as Old as Time", "Human Again" or "Gaston" sung by the anti-hero in the plot, brought to life by Stephen Mark Lukas in this production. All of the musical numbers have been crafted to fit the actors who are going to with precision, including Kyra Belle Johnson as Belle and Fergie L. Philippe (Broadway's Hamilton) as the Beast. Also, they fit into the plot seamlessly. That's an element that's key with these musicals. The story doesn't need weird moments of characters bursting into song without any real context, not even following the plot. This is not something that you're going to see play out on Monday 28th December 2026 at the Paramount theater in Seattle. On the contrary, these tracks from the original storyline fit the story perfectly. They actually help build anticipation at tense moments in the plot. That's always something you want to have in a musical.

You want to find a seat in the middle of the theater, a few rows back at this historic Seattle landmark. That's where you'll have the best angle on the entire show.
