THE THORN has conveyed history's greatest epic story in a stunning way for more than 25 years, in front of over 1 million people: God's love for the globe amidst the spiritual war for all of humanity. THE THORN is an immersive stage production that features emotionally strong music, drama, aerial acts, movement arts, modern dance, and enormous visual effects. It is best described as cirque meets the Passion of Jesus. The narrative is based on the New Testament and takes the audience through Jesus Christ's life, death, and resurrection.
"It is a story full of love, sacrifice, spiritual warfare, and redemption, and we are thrilled to share this amazing event with all" says John Bolin, Creator.
It all begins with God's creation, Lucifer's rebellion and fall, and Adam and Eve falling to temptation in the Garden of Eden. Several episodes in Jesus' life, such as summoning His followers, healing the blind, and raising a girl from the dead, are shown in dance-inflected pantomimes. When Jesus heals a lame man, he does more than simply walk; he also breaksdances. This is only a sample of the spectacular performances of the outstanding performers in The Thorn's live show. Witness the live performance and marvel at the stunning reproduction of Jesus Christ's life.
"You will hear a crystal clear message of the gospel," Bolin said, adding the portrayal is artistic. "... We're not trying to make this a word-by-word or scene-by-scene duplication of the Bible – we're not doing that. [But] we are communicating the gospel, and it is very crystal clear."
The Thorn is making its way to the Paramount Theatre Seattle on Thursday, the 8th of February, 2024, for an unforgettable performance.
